Conejo Creek North Park

Located in the City of Thousand Oaks, Conejo Creek North Park has it all. This 44-acre park includes a fitness trail, beach-style volleyball courts, a teen center, a NEOS game, and two separate play areas. The park is maintained by the Thousand Oaks Parks Department, and is free to the public. It is also home to the city’s Main Library. While the park is not as popular during the week as it is on weekends, the park is still a pleasant place to spend a summer afternoon. During construction, parking lots will be closed off and traffic control will be put into action along Avenida de Las Flores. During the construction, residents should expect some construction noise.

The park is a haven for the family, with an extensive grassy area, picnic pavilions for rent, and a large duck pond. Aside from the library, the site is a great spot for a picnic, and the aforementioned pond is an especially quaint place to linger.

The most impressive of all the perks at the park is the fact that it is located on the same campus as the world-famous Thousand Oaks Library. The main library has an impressive collection of books and periodicals, which is available to the public. This is a great resource for anyone with a library card, and the facility’s small zoo and planetarium are must-sees for the young and the young at heart. The site is a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the outdoors, and the surrounding neighborhood has two shady spots of its own. The best way to get to the park is to take the 23 Freeway, which will put you right in the middle of it. Luckily for you, the park is located on a well-marked route, making it easy to find.
